The Escape Ranger is the fastest ebike I have ever owned and will probably ever need. Its heavy, compact and built for speed. It has some small issues like the ugly handlebars and single sided chainring but this would make for a great commuter ebike since you can keep up with traffic on your local streets.

The Ranger is a high-performance electric bike built on a 6061 Aluminum Alloy frame featuring DNM air shock suspension with 160mm of travel. Its power comes from a 72-volt system, headlined by a genuine 3000-watt Bafang rear hub motor that can achieve a peak power of 5000-watts and produces a remarkable 190Nm of torque.
This motor is managed by a 72-volt, 60-amp waterproof controller. It is equipped with a dual-battery system, combining a 72V 20ah (1440-WH) battery and a 72V 15ah (1080-WH) battery, both using Samsung 21700 cells, for a total capacity of 2520-WH, which allows for an estimated range of 85 miles on a full charge in low pedal assist. The bike ships as a Class 2 e-bike with a top speed of 20 mph, but it can be unlocked to reach speeds of 45+ mph.
Stopping power is provided by Tektro E3940 Quad Piston Hydraulic Disc Brakes with 203mm rotors on both the front and rear. The bike rides on 20″ x 4″ Blackcat puncture-resistant tires, which are mounted on heavy-duty double-wall aluminum alloy rims using 12-gauge front spokes and robust 10-gauge rear spokes. The drivetrain includes a Shimano Acera 7-speed system, a 56T aluminum alloy crank, a 14-34T freewheel, and a combined torque/cadence sensor.
Other key features include a Bafang C010 TFT programmable display, a half-twist throttle, BMX-style aluminum alloy handlebars, a front LED headlight with integrated turn signals and horn, a brake light with turn signals, front and rear aluminum alloy fenders, a rear rack, and a Promax seat post with an Escape brand comfy saddle.
The bike itself weighs 135 lbs and has a total maximum load capacity of 386 lbs, with the rear rack rated for 56 lbs.
