Aipas is new to the channel and they have a ton of deals happening right now on Aipasbike.com. They sent me the A4, a step thru folding ebike with a 1000w (peak) motor with a pretty good amount of torque (78nm).
The A4 comes in black, blue, white & gray. Pricing is currently under $800. It’s powered by a 48V 12.8AH battery that slides down behind the seatpost. It contains 21700 Samsung cells and a two amp charger. The battery also features auto-shutoff in case of overheating.
I think the motor is a 500W that peaks at 1000W and it offers solid power for the price. You can unlock the bike in the settings to class 3 speeds and even the throttle has full power once unlocked. Gearing is limited to a small chainring, 7 gears and a 14-28T freewheel so you do experience some ghost pedaling.
The A4 weighs in a 55lbs without the battery and 63 with it. It is 66 inches long with a short stepover height of 15 inches. Payload capacity is 350lbs.
It sits on 20×3 knobby tires with mechanical disk brakes. The cockpit also has turn signals and a UBS port to charge your phone.
