Happyrun G70 Ebike Review

Happyrun, maker of e-moped style ebikes, sent me their G70 recently for review. Its a 1000 Watt, dual battery, dual suspension ebike with 7 gears and front and rear turn signals along with a massive front headlight. I hit 30MPH with it in my testing.

The bike unlocks with a handy NFC key by tapping the display with it. A very god feature for prevent others from starting the ebike. The G70 weighs 96lbs and can be purchased for $1399.

The dual batteries consist of a 48V 20AH (top) and an 18AH on the bottom for a total of 38AH. My guess that should get you close to 50 miles on throttle alone. The dual suspension is fairly soft out of the box but you cant do much adjustment with it.

For lighting there is a massive front headlight which is suitable for night riding and you have front/rear turn signals that work welll. They even beep so you know they are on. But they dont have auto-shutoff so its a manual process.

Styling is good and it even comes with a rear rack that I later installed. The rack has a useable space of 14inch x 12 inch.

My main dislikes are the display which is hard to read in sunlight and the poor shifting gears (I couldnt get inti 6th or 7th) But since its a throttle first ebike thats no issue. As with most moped style ebikes this one is better for guys under 6 foot tall.
