Xpedition 2.0 is the Long Range King of Cargo Ebikes

I took out the Lectric Xpedition 2.0 for her maiden run. Its sleek, long and speedy.

The new Xpedition is pretty much brand new from the ground up. It comes in three price levels $1,399 (single battery), $1,699 (dual battery) and $1,999 for the dual battery long range version which comes with two 15.5AH batteries vs the two 13AH ones on the regular version. Lectric claims the 35AH version will get you 170 miles on PAS1.

One of the biggest headlines in the new rear rack which is six inches longer than the 1.0. The new rack is 38 inches long from the the seatpost to the rear. That’s a ton of space to plop a couple of kids on or store cargo. The entire ebike is 77 inches log but the handlebars do fold down.

Max payload is 450 lbs. Rider heights are listed at 4″11 to 6″5. Power is delivered by Lectric’s stealthy M24 750 watt motor which peaks at 1310. Once unlocked to class, the motor delivers an abundance of power to the rider which is also assisted by an advanced torque sensor with dozens of magnets that proves to be an excellent pedal experience. The motor is also super quiet unlike its predecessor.

The ebike battery is also UL certified to UL 2849.

Tires are new as well they opted to lower the ebike a little to make hopping on a little easier especially for families. It sits on 20×2.5 inch street tires. As a six foot rider though I much prefer the taller 20×3 tires on the 1.0.

As of now Lectric is offering a ton of free accessories with each purchase so be sure to buy it soon if a cargo ebike is on your wish list. Its a solid ebike and is truly the mini-van of ebikes.
