My latest ebike review comes courtesy of Mukkpet a budget brand which has a variety of models to choose from. I chose to review the Breeze, a dual battery 20X4 that should get you 80+ miles thanks to two 15AH batteries (48V).
One is stored vertically behind the seatpost while the other hangs above the rear tire in a stretched rack. Two 3 AMP chargers are included.
The current price of the Breeze is $1,349 and also comes with a 750 watt motor and class 3 speeds. It peaks at 1500 watts. The controller is listed as 25 AMPS.
Sizing
The Breeze is 71 inches long and weighs 79lbs. Minimum seat height is around 33 inches and step over height is 19 inches. It should fit riders 5″5 to 6″4.
Tires & Brakes
20×4 knobbies sit on 180mm brake rotors with mechanical disk brakes. The front suspension fork has some travel but not much. It may bottom out on bigger bumps.
My Take
The lack of hydraulic brakes are a disappointment as is the small gearing which causes ghost pedaling. The rest of the bike from power to battery range and styling is solid.
